Seiko Kinetic Watch Review – Black Ion
Knowing price is a big factor in watch selection, Seiko has recently slashed it’s prices on it’s inventory, creating several incredible deals. But if for example, the Seiko Orange Monster just isn’t the right fit for you, the Kinetic Black Ion Watch may be your savior. It’s definitely a subtle sleek look that exceedingly hard to find with other luxury watch brands.
The watch itself is similar to other automatic timepieces, following the unique Japanese-quartz movement, as seen in related brands like the Invicta Speedway collection. Water resistance isn’t anything special, allowing up to the standard 330 feet or so of depth, but the watch wasn’t exactly constructed with diving in mind.
Seiko Kinteic Watch – SKA366
The design is what resonates with the Kinetic collection fan-base. The two-tone black gold colorization is refined and sophisticated, exactly what potential luxury watch buyers are looking for. Just by looking at it you can tell it’s a valuable watch and can be easily mistaken for watches costing ten times it’s price.
The display of the Kinetic Black from Seiko is Hardlex, a type of display that you’ll find in most Seiko products. it’s resilient enough to hold up against everyday dangers since it won’t scratch or break easily. This analog watch has a black-gold stainless steel bad and stationary bezel. The standard date calendar is displayed in a tilted 4 o’clock orientation.
Automatic watches require no batteries, which is actually why the Kinetic is named as it is. It stores up kinetic energy from your arm movements, and once full it’ll last you about six months (if not regularly worn.) It’s quite an ingenious design that removes batteries from the equation.
Seiko Kinetic watches are particularly fine choices for avid watch collectors, or anyone looking for a reliable luxury watch at a decent price. It’s the kind of watch that actually looks better in person. Online photos don’t do the timepiece justice, as lighting plays a major role in this watch’s splendor.
A solid buy from a solid company. We highly recommend the Seiko Kinetic collection (the Black Ion in particular,) to those looking for a stylized luxury timepiece.
